To speak frankly, I’m sitting at my desk for about two hours now, staring into the display that shows me just a plain, white peace of paper in my writing app. The thoughts in my head are spinning around like crazy while my head is full and empty at the same time. There are so many thoughts coming up to my mind while thinking about that amazing evening at the Azores with Rita & Joao during the Camp Archipelago, but no single word. It’s strange, since there are so many things I could write about. Like the incredibly breathaking place we went to; a waterfall surrounded by brown rocks and dark green leaves, barely covered with the very last sunlight of the day. The the amazing Rita and Joao, two absolutely sweet and warm-hearted people from the mainland of Portugal, that flew all the way to the Azores. Their strong connection that I immediately felt when looking at them, gently holding each others hands, always standing together and looking at each other with glazed eyes. And that this connection has overcome every distance, as they were living in separate places, only seeing each other from time to time. But their love has become even stronger each single time they saw each other. And every day inbetween. Yes, they are truly inspirng for all couple out there and this is one thing amongst others I really love in my job. As well as the party we had together with crazy dance moves and a lot of laughter. So Joao and Rita, thank you very much for the short time we had together, it was a pleasure meeting you.

Well, all right. Somehow I did write down some words after all, albeit not that many as usual. However, I really hope that you can see their deep connection in the photographs and that they are telling their own story along with this beautiful poem by Christopher Poindexter.

“I have thought my entire life I needed seas or mountains or magnificent city lights to be happy.
Truth is: I do not care where I am as long as I have you.”
